About Us

It all started with a young man’s dream of making it big in 1946. At 29, a Textile Engineering Graduate from Manchester, started an Engineering company, Eastern Electrical Company Private Limited, to make Pumps and Motors in Coimbatore. In 1956, he co-founded the Annamalaiar Mills Private Limited, which has grown to become one of the most reputed Textile Mills in Dindigul today. This man was D. Govindarajulu.

In 1956, Ravindran learnt to drive a car. He was 9 years old. Sure enough, he grew up to be an automobile genius. The Chairman of our flagship company, Unimech Enterprises (India) Limited, is also the Chairman of Eastern Electrical Company Private Limited and a Managing Director in Annamalaiar Mills Private Limited.

The two names mentioned above are the sources for our inspiration.
